Sept. 23: In honor of their 50 th year, the Center at Mariandale, a living legacy of the Dominican Sisters of Hope, is offering a series of special online presentations. The first one features Sr. Elizabeth Johnson, CSJ.  Sr. Elizabeth A. Johnson, CSJ is a Distinguished Professor Emerita of Theology at Fordham University, a past president of the Catholic Theological Society of America and the American Theological Society, an award-winning author, the first woman to earn a doctorate in theology from the Catholic University of America, and the recipient of numerous honorary doctoral degrees.

Her recent writings heavily focus on ecological theology and the climate crisis, shifting from her foundational work in feminist theology to exploring God’s relationship with creation and the planet.

Join us online as we delve into the belief that the natural world is sacred, intrinsically loved by God, and an active participant in divine salvation!
